Oc_WGH with HDR!

Post by The fox »

Makes it look like a flashbang has been thrown constantly! Special offer today. Anyways screenshots taken in Ep1 and the HDR is blinding to hell. Quite annoying from time to time heh.

Pretty useless for an indoor map like that.

If you launch oc_tantrum in HL2DM (or anything that works with hdr) you're gonna see some fireworks! :D

Nope, I have no bloody clue about what tantrum looks like in hdr. I'd be glad if somebody showed me! (I only have a dx8 card! :x)

Indeed im very pleased with how that area came out. I might just try and make the lightning over the map as it was there and hopefully it will turn out atleast somewhat similar to that. In which case i will, ofcourse, keep the HDR on seeing how its quite beautifull on places where its just not complete white.

You need to play with the HDR tone settings. Way too high there.

This is why I said "or anything that works with hdr". :) I know quite what it looks like in obsidian HDR already.
In november I'll get a comp that can handle HDR (finally!). Then I'll be able to seef for myself. Btw, does the HDR bug appear in HL2DM as well, since I build the cubemaps in Obsidian? :?

Todays testing with the map and HDR enabled has led me to the decision to keep the HDR in the map. It looks quite beautifull with HDR turned on and gives it quite an bit of nice touch. Pictures will be uploaded if demanded/wanted.
