@ Andrax I was playing with you yesterday and I'm not sure you noticed it was me. Any how I decided to take a little break from OC (Don't worry not for long, I always come back home), I needed a new game to play and none of the games on Steam store caught my eye, so I donated to BS to get 'Supporter Access'.
I'm enjoying the game, though I really am very bad at it.
Also I made a map, my quickest map ever, just one week to build (partly because its just one room).
I'm going to map a bit for the mod, but I know I'll be back here soon slogging on with my wip for oc.

I've seen some of the SSS69 members playing it. Don't really know what to think of it. :s

I only know this mod because I was fooling around in Moddb.

I saw this mod back quite awhile ago and I was very impressed with it. I was a Jedi Knight fan and it was made in the spirit of that game so I look forward to trying it. Not a fan of the whole supporter thing, but it does look like they put a huge amount of effort into it so they probably deserve it.

I want to make my own custom sword for this mod, so today I started & finished my first Modeling tutorial ever, and probably my first go at using 3dsmax:
I'm not sure if the techniques are optimised or not, but I learn't alot from this, I think.

You did that? If is true share with me the tuto plz.
The sword is high poly because of the 'guard' above the grip.
I've just made a low poly version that gets the faces down from 4979 to 865.

You´re talking with a guy who ported some models without any skeleton or even with bad mesh structure. The weight process is so simple (note: simple doesn´t mean easy, try rig from zero a complex model with some layers).
I´ll start studing that (a.k.a. reversing engineering).
Thank you for cooperate with Aperture Science Model Division.

Not sure where to post these, but I wanted to share/show off to you guys what mapping I've been doing. And explain why I took a mapping break from OC.
Since I started to learn to map, I first started a CS map back years ago and didnt learn much. I then came late back to source and started to learn for an Empires map again I didnt get far (still fullbright stuff). I was enjoying playing OC at the time and that was where I decided I would learn to map for real, and I thought what better way to start to learn with a co-op mod which still has all the attractions of multiplayer mapping with all the depth that comes with single player mapping and then with the two combined I realised co-op mapping would be a great place to not only start but learn everything, I feel co-op mapping has the potential to use just about every hammer trick in the book.
Mapping wise I haven't contributed much to OC, certainly not recently and really I'm not happy with anything I've released. I hope in someway you guys regard me as having contributed in other ways to make up for the lack of map. I know now I have the knowledge and potential to give something good to you guys, and hope still that day will come. However I did get bogged down with OC mapping and I decided I needed a break.
I spotted BladeSymphony a while back and new that I would enjoy the mod, its style and that one day I would try my hand at making some maps for the mod. So as a break I thought why not and since starting i've learnt one or two new tricks as well as finally venturing into modeling. I guess with BS I have the opportunity to work on my visual mapping skills, also I know I can produce reasonable work quickly, especially if I can find good models to set the theme's of the maps (as this is an arena map style mod).
So here's some of my work:
Released: duel_place_of_the_way final name will be duel_tao.
Older version showing outside:
duel_sento Masa0x/plus more inspired map.
duel_surgical
wip free_hanger
They aren't huge maps or master pieces, I made these and more in a relatively short space of time (about 1-2 months).
If you want to see more of what I've been up to again here's where I post up stuff:
