Hello.
I have been playing Obsidian Conflict on and off for a number of years now, and have browsed the forum but never posted. I must say it's really a great game.
Anyhow, I've been working on this map for some time now and decided to make it compatible with this game when 1.35 came out. It wasn't originally intended for this game. I originally was making it for Gmod, but it had alot of problems and crashed often. Now that I have modified it to work with this game, I find that it crashes less, most of the things I wanted it to do actually work better, and overall it's more fun.
The newest version is Version 2. The download for V2 is below.

Enlarged spawn room
Gravity gun is free
Added saw blade dispenser
Heavily tweaked npc spawns to reduce crashing
Attempted fix for Particle Storm glitching
Wave 2 has a countdown instead of relying on reaching a number of kills
other minor fixes

The map consists of a large ice and snow mountaintop arena with 4 smaller mountain structures surrounding it, one on each side. Each side is connected to the center by 3 ice bridges. Some of these bridges are breakable. When the game begins, enemies will assault the middle from over the bridges. If one falls off into the gap they will die, as will npc's.
In the map players must work together as a team to fight hordes of enemies and complete objectives. Everyone starts with 55 lives. You will probably need most of them, though it may be too many. I may change this in a future release if enough people want me to.
There are 3 mounted turrets on the perimeter of the base. In the center of the base is a large button which will begin the game. Behind this button is a pillar of ice with a shield and health station, as well as a keypad which deactivates the shield around the inner section of the base. The shield reactivates when someone respawns.
In addition, there are 3 other buttons within the inner base. One activates the thumper once it is fixed. The other 2 spawn allies once they have been unlocked from killing enough enemies.
Within the spawn room you will find 3 citadel shield chargers, a merchant who sells most weapons and items, a free weapon rack with shotgun, smg, pistol, and uzi's, the teleporter to the surface, a place to buy everyone extra lives, purchasable weapon lockers for the rpg and sniper, and a few other special things.
There are 4 main waves of enemies. Each wave consists of a number of npc's. For example, the first wave of npc's is zombies. Normal, fast, poison, and zombine.
There are over 25 different npc's to fight. Some spawns are special events. There are 4 main objectives.
There are a few hidden secrets in the level which I will leave you to discover.
Known Bugs:
Errors pop out of the cores behind the towers when they are destroyed.
An occasional crash could occur, though when I tested it with -Zeo, we were always able to complete it.
The particle storm seems to break down after it's 2nd or 3rd spawn. I am currently looking into this. It should work fine when it first spawns, and possibly one or two more times, but then the effects stop being parented properly to it. It still kills and can be killed though.
What is a Particle Storm? From what I understand it was an idea for an enemy that never made it into hl2. I have tried to create what I thought one would be like using the effects provided with episode 2. It is invisible unless agitated by noise such as firing the smg or ar2. It sparks when it hears noise, and emits a blue explosion when touched. It can only killed by one or 2 things. http://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/Particle_Storm
Yes, it is actually a stalker, as it makes some of the noises and likes to shoot its laser. It will not however, shoot at players. I'd like to know, should I let it keep its laser, or make it wander around without firing?
Now, I personally don't like too many spoilers and like to discover whats in a map myself, but if you REALLY want to know, this is the ENTIRE schedule of npc events in the map. It does not include secrets. DO NOT LOOK BELOW IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED THROUGH THE MAP YET AND DON'T WANT SPOILERS!!!

This map...
So basically, theres every single npc in hl2 in this map, and there are like 100x of each character.
People are dropping off the server around me because of reliable snapshot over flow.
and we were expecting the server to crash every minute!
This map pretty much brought npc spam to a whole new level
Hell, I was even expecting barnacles to start falling from the sky. I think that is the only npc that WASN'T in this map >.>
Hey, I like the design and idea and all, but I think npc spam is not the way to make a map :s
