Please please please PLEASE show me some screenshots! :) This I've gotta see. I spent 6 hours last night creating these buildings from scratch. I will be VERY surprised if they turn out to look exactly like another map I've never played.

It looks like HDR with regards to the sand.

The wall on the right could also use improvement. Try http://forum.interlopers.net/viewtopic.php?t=1838 for some info on creating displacement cliffs.

And make sure your environmental lighting is set appropriately. :)
