16 vs 16 is great in CS:S TF2 and other pvp mods i can imagine it being fun on OC pvp maps too i wasnt ever talking about coop maps and there i guess players would join the ones with about 8 players more likely than ones with 32 players on the server in that moment but w/e... its not my mod so not m...

i don't really get it. if someone wants their server to handle more than 16 players then why would that be stupid? http://www.maxrev.de/images/smiles/icon_question.gif especially for pvp maps like for example that large one with all the sand and antlions it would make perfect sense in the end it sho...

to fix the displacements you mean? ust split them in a way that edges that are neighbours are of the same length. then you won't have to fix anything, just hit the sew button once again and you're done. then again it's not useful to split the ones on which there's no shadows. so i'd kinda just start...

if you split a displacement up into multiple ones then you can set a lower lightmap scale for them.

just a hint you might take into account for your final compile

i once heard dev textures have another parameter that automatically turns down the lightmaps to lower quality?

i think it's only in the qc of the gib model:

i just found that:
$keyvalues
{
"physicsmode" "1"
}
if i remember right it can be set to 0, 1 and 2

i'm not really sure if that is affecting the model physics when it's spawned as gib though
