Issue with Startup

I can't find anything anywhere, not on the FAQ, Google, or the forum search.
How do I install Obsidian Conflict.
Supposedly a install wizard is supposed to come up, but doesn't.

Can someone link me to somewhere that tells me how to install it.

Yes, I have installed Source Mods before. I have battlegrounds, Rock 34, Riot Act, etc, etc.

To clarify; it won't load up and instead bombards me with;

Wait, if the install wizard doesn't work, how did you get the mod showing up under steam?

Something tells me you installed just the hotfix and not the actual mod. Since the hotfix contains a gameinfo.txt, Steam would have an entry for it in the games library.

The hotfix is not intended as a replacement for the full download, so please download the 1.35 installer first (672MB), and then apply the hotfix on top.

Let´s gonna check if you follow right the steps:

Download Source SDK Base 2007

Download Obsidian Conflict 1.35

Download Obsidian Conflict 1.35 hotfix

Close Steam

Install Obsidian Conflict 1.35 (Select client)

Install Obsidian Conflict 1.35 hotfix

Start Steam.


Make sure you run the .exe with admin powers. (Depending of the computer, it takes longer or shorter to appear).

You will be able to download and install Source SDK Base 2007 on Steam if you have at least one game of the following list: http://store.steampowered.com/search/?category2=16

I'm not sure if this will help but always good to check, run a source game once (ie. HL2, CSS, EP2, etc.)

Ignore me if ya have or if this method is null as of whenever I last checked :V
