Error 216 when installing

okay so my friend and I have been getting the same issue while installing. Everything goes smoothly until the very end. It gets to the very end, even puts it in steam (but won't open in steam) and then gets this here errror:
I am running Windows 8 Pro 64 bit, and my friend Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I have tried downloading with 2 different links. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
