You must have read my mind, well I haven't seen anyone else have a go, I think I can quickly turn it into a nice little fun map as an extra addition to OC.
And for those that don't know yes, it's a Valve map, designed for menu backgrounds! But what the hell, I thinking ichy's maybe change to night time, heli's, gunships, dropships, apc's etc etc! LinkNeo I hope atleast your interested, you wanted a map with just combine assaulting you with gunships and stuff (so this is for u)!

All I've done Is sealed of the edges of the map, textured a ton of faces that wern't and made the heli hostile and added a buddy!

Yeah, although it could be an assault map. I was thinking to use the lives mode. And just unleash hell.


I see I got a vote for no create your own work, If I get lots of these then I'll probably abandon the map.

I know I keep putting it off,
May I ask why you suggest to use it, Is it because, this level already exsits in the hl2 main game, I couldn't remeber....And you think, it's better just to map add to the intended playable version?

Actually the idea of converting the background maps is pretty clever. And they're kinda more optimized.

Maybe you should wait for 1.3, make the pools bigger and deeper, and then add some ickies.

Also, you should definitely make the helicopters/gunships use their bombs/bellycannons over the red barn, so it breaks and all.

That would make the gameplay less generic.

deeping the water, easy and had already considered,
Helicopter dropping bombs, already in.
Breakable barn I also had considered.

I know this is a bit of a cheap way to map, but it was an empty map just waiting for some action to be added.
This map has great potential for gunships however,..
I want to try and respect DaMaN and his amazing up coming beachhead maps. so I'm going to try and not use any features he has, So maybe I'll make it less gunshipy and more ichy hunting? And true There are a lot defense maps already in the works, all of which would be better than this map IMO,
So really it's a bit of a blank canvass still...
I like the idea, of turning it into a 70% dedicated ichy map.
