Re: (MMD->Source MODELS) Touhou models
After a meeting with the team, we decided accept the requests of being releasing the finished models while we working on the remaining.
So, i decided remake the finished models for make it better. For the moment, Flandre looks better (no longer problems with the textures), and the rigging promises being better, specially the skirt, that it will use jigglebones (thanks SkyNinja for the suggestion. After test it in the Remilia model, it looked very good, and decided apply it on all the models).
At the moment, i cant take a photo of her (continues making textures) and the render doesnt look "at all" their aspect in-game.
I found a tutorial about Faceposing. The first tests looked me that is something very easy to do.
And well, i dont know if is a very good idea say it, but we have a "new member": Plasma HeadcrabD. At the moment he only will make the Mokou (Sister Red Huziwara) model:
He will not start working on her until he finish their map (OC_nacht_der_untoten), that looks incredible and promises a good gameplay.
And for last, with the help (yes, AGAIN) of XenoAisam, i could fixed her head:
http://gyazo.com/c508b8317309e6a236f0f9a96dfbe2f6
(Old image. I have fixed in MAX the hat and the hair. Didnt exported it yet because i´m remaking the physique of the head).
P.D: Looks like Gyazo works when it wants.

Imagine playing Touhou in first person, with A.I. programmed to behave like the real characters

Well, if you actually managed to get those models that work on Source, sure your dream can be realized! (partially lawl.)
AI is a different matter, wanna learn some C++ and help out? lol
Joking aside, I can possibly make it happen if the model had some cool animations (throwing/other stuff/etc) and then use Hammer and make a boss battle (that would be fun to try lol). I mean, take a look at oc_sso (something of that name?) and z_harrier.

Re: (MMD->Source MODELS) Touhou models
First flexes of faceposing. Dont know why "smile" doesnt work (lol).
It´s so easy to do (more even than make jigglebones) that apart of make it for all the models, i´ll add it to the models that i ported in my pack.
Rigging is finished (but i have a weird problem, some vertices are attached to another links, and i cant detach them, so you can see a part of the arm moving with the wing, for example). The movement of the skirt is very good (again, thanks Skyninja for suggest use jigglebones). Eyeposing is not ready yet, but i think that it will not suppose much time do it.
If for the afternoon of tommorrow i can fix that weird error, it could be start the tests in GMOD and OC (and yes, finally, the release of the model).
SO, if you want accelerate the release, try get all the info about Physique modifier, and try to get a fix to my problem.

I think that is the light. The model have the same aspect like the first prototype, only change the rigging, and the textures of the wings.
Apart of that, you can see "something strange" in the head, in the differents images. Looks like some faceposes affect parts of it (probably due the rigging issue).

That would be the mesh, the lighting catches the triangles used to make the model.Maestro Fénix wrote: Apart from that, you can see "something strange" in the head, in the differents images. Looks like some faceposes affect parts of it (probably due the rigging issue).
Re: (MMD->Source MODELS) Touhou models
A bit of bumpmapping will fix that up! (I'm referring to the 'blocky and low quality' thing Andrax said) :3
Apparently, Valve can't make games beyond the number 2.
I think the only time we'll get a Source SDK code update is when it starts having purchasable hats integrated, i.e. hatconomy.
Please do not make assumptions you are not knowledgeable enough to make - that just backfires on yourself.
Tick me off, and I'll be sure to give you the golden treatment. Haven't you heard? Silence is golden.
