This is a good update. At least Jory didn't make you and the others pay. :shutter:

I just need to ask a few questions:
To allow HDR in my map, do I only have to do a HDR compile? :?:
How much larger is a HDR compiled map than a non-HDR? :?:
Even though my graphics card can't show HDR, can it do a proper HDR compile? :?:
Yeah, about double, yeah.

Double size?! Then I'll have to see how large the map turns out when it's finished. How large do you think a map should be? Now we're talking absolute maximum size!

I've played maps that were about 40-80MB before.

Jory is the lead coder of obsidian, he quit MI.
Its a long job and he didnt have the time to do it so they threw him some money. Not a bad deal either, $7.14 an hour

If they manage to do it without dx9 shaders. What happens if you try to change the colour of your flashlight manually? (changing the colour in the .vtf file) Will that work if you don't have a dx9 card?

Adding HDR to that umizuri fishing map would be nice. It is also very open and would be great for it.
