I am trying to host a listen server and the best I can do is get it to show up on the server list but when someone joins they timeout. No one can connect and anyone I ask says they can't see it on the list even though I can via the comp I use to host.
I have attempted the sv_lan 0; heartbeat; changelevel oc_name/map oc_name; and that does not work, I have a static ip and I port forwarded the correct ports but still cannot get it to work. I have done hours of searching to no avail on this issue.
Anything you can do or suggest is appreciated.
Listen Server Host problem
Re: Listen Server Host problem
Keep trying it sounds like your doing everything right, check your port forwarding and make sure you have the ranges that Valve recommend forwarded.Fisher wrote: I have attempted the sv_lan 0; heartbeat; changelevel oc_name/map oc_name; and that does not work, I have a static ip and I port forwarded the correct ports but still cannot get it to work.
