For whatever reason, these are broken. It doesn't work for mine. I put the folder in Addons, yet it doesn't show up in game. I've also tried taking the Models/Materials folder and placing THEM in addons, yet to no avail.

Might be that winrar error upon opening.

Been at the seaside all day, just spent 4 hours driving home.

I'll look at the issues tomorrow and fix them. My apologies.

Morning, right, I've extracted the .rar to my folder and all is fine. So I can only assume the .rar is corrupt or something or whateva you're using to extract dosn't agree with the .rar I made.

I'll leave the dl link for the .rar and I'll dl the .rar and test that in a bit, but first I'll upload in a .zip format for you.

@Keychain, I hear ya. I'll probably won't sort them out for a while but as I add more models later on I'll break the pack up into catergories. I'll do something like Fighter, I'll keep one forum topic for my models but I'll have multiple packs available, i.e. 'woodland hgrunts', 'city08' etc,etc.

Ok, I've added a zip link. And tonight I'll re-upload the .rar (Incidentally anyone else had trouble with the .rar?)

I did notice the .rar didn't get listed on my files page filefront. But the .zip has.

Anyhow, try the .zip let me know how you get on, hope it helps...

Okay, downloading it now. I just think the whole "NEW ADDON OMG" thing doesn't work too well for me.

Urgh, nope, it still doesn't work. I'm just going to fraking reinstall OC, this is SUCH bullshit.

Have you managed to install any other model packs?

Why are you reinstalling, that sounds a bit hasty, unless you've copy pasted stuff all over the place?

The Valve Model pack installed just fine. But, like I've said before, this new Addon Format crap just doesn't want to work for me. Re-downloading in the installer, anyway.

Fresh install. Put Fugs folder in Addons.

You're doing something wrong otherwise it would work like it does for everybody else.

Make sure the folder path looks similar to this:

obsidian\addons\fugplayermodels\models
obsidian\addons\fugplayermodels\materials

etc..

it shouldnt look like this:
obsidian\addons\playermodels\fugplayermodels\models

note the extra folder

I got it to work. I'm just going to put the models and materials over in main directory for OC. Used to that anyway. Now I can be the American Assault like I wanted. Many thanks, Fug!

Unrelated but - Fugs, how do you make a player model? I have a ragdoll I want too make into one (Basically a skin of a male_07 I asked somebody to make for me) and I want to see if I can turn it into a model.

Man i love all the grunts. Ive been working on a WIP perfect for these.
One problem these models don't work when i try and replace the normal grunt models.

Do you think you can get a version that does double as a npc?

You mean you're trying to give the hgrunt entity in hammer the custom models for your map?

Basically these were compiled with combine_s animations originally but to get them to convert to player models I had to change the animations to shared male (Its just a few lines in the models .qc file).

So normally you'd have to change the animations to what the default npc uses that you want to replace with the custom model.

Luckily for you I found the originals:

They should work fine as they are compiled with the correct animations.
I would make a npc pack so people could use more custom models for their maps but I'm a little snow'd under with other things.
