I converted GMOD playermodel into a O.C. one a while back, people liked it, so I will release it. I recommend someone re-upload it to a better host, unless they want the file gone for ever after a few weeks or when ever the host throws it away. Well, have fun.

Now in add-on format!

Holy shit 10 something for textures? They probably need to be re-saved as compressed textures.

w/e got my download.

Also ya, both, though combine with their damn squad voices can be annoying. I had to use a ton of ambient generics to get round this in my dod:s mapadd and itw as tricky. Though I guess I could of made a custom soundscriptm for the npc.

When I next update my model packs, player and npc I'll add to the relevant pack.

Yeah, I couldn't seem to fix this. If anyone has any idea how, please, tell me.

And thanks for all your guy's input, there will also be a combine and citizen version soon. Though because I don't want to re-upload 10mbs' again, this playermodel will just be a requirement.

Hope you all enjoy.

when you crop your picture to focus on the part of the model you want, crop by 200 height by 256 width. So once you've deleted all unwanted parts of the image, you should then select the part you want to keep and copy it and then paste onto a new blank raster image that is 256x256.
You paste it as a free selection, and move it to the top left hand corner as much as possible. then accept the paste.

Opps, that is why it messed up, that what I get for skipping through your tutorial... I just saw "256 by 256" and went along with that.

Sounds like vmt paths are either mixed up inside the .vmt or the model path is incorrect in the .qc file.

Does anyone else have this problem, so I can verify that it's just him?

So,

The model materials you've located here:
materials\models\CODMW2\rangers

Should really to keep things tidy be here:
materials\models\player\CODMW2\rangers

But thats not the real trouble, the trouble is in some of the .vmt files you've used a mixture of both the paths that I've written above.

e.g

Code: Select all

"$basetexture" "models\CODMW2\rangers\back"
"$bumpmap" "models\CODMW2/rangers\back_norm"
"$phongexponenttexture" "models\player/rangers\back_exp"
I would suggest you change the directory to materials\models\player\...
And fix all the vmts to suit.

Yea to materials thing I saw that and put it in player but it didn't fix it so me I would say its the second thing ill try that

depends on where he specified the model to look for materials in the models .qc file. Then the path and vmts should be adjusted to match that.
