Obsidian Mapping / SDK problems

Ahoy,

i have some problems with setting up Hammer / the SDK for OC
i tried using the installer thingy,
which tells me that robocopy is not a valid win32 application, but then continues working only to screw up my source sdk by replacing all settings (EP2, Portal and TF2) with a strange Oc setting without any content but HL2 classic, not even Ep2

so i tried using the manual way of adding stuff to the gameinfo.txt and it always says that the hammer setup is somehow corrupted and asks me if i really want to run hammer, if i do so hammer crashes before i get the opportunity to load or start a new map...

so is there any fix for this?
or a more foolproof way of doing this?

ok, got it up and running, just had a damn typing error in the gameinfo, now all i need are some good map ideas :<

hm...
the only problem now is that i don't have any content but hl2 classic in the setting, is there any way of adding the content without dragging massive amouts of textures, models and other files from the .gcf files to oc or the oc sdk thingy?

I drag the models/textures I want for ep2 over into oc. The rest shouldn't be a problem.

And g'luck with the map, nice to see some more mappers.

yah i did that too, only for ep2 content for now, css to follow...

and i totally agree with you about there being to few mappers, but i don't think my map(s) will be hitting the servers too soon...

i can't finish anything... _._

but i think i'll post some screenshots of my projects and pieces and try to get some motivation and some good ideas from the community.
