If the maker isn't going ot post his map, I will!
http://rapidshare.de/files/27747641/oc_ ... c.rar.html

In the map, you put a melon on a hook, grab the line, cast it out into the water, adn try ot catch one of many highly collectable items, including guns, enemies, and models and change animation every time you shoot htem (Get the right mixes of animations and you get something HILLARIOUS).

Someone please post screenshots.

So how does the catching of npcs work? Do they get stuck in the platforms and stuff? This map is really interesting me, would love to know how it works.

Well, npc's stay as a kind of stiff prop on your hook until you pull them up on land, if you get them to land on their feet, they become real enemies.

Ron, I think. I may just be guessing this because he was playing obsidian conflict and said he was from japan, and spoke bad english like the person here.

He's a member on these forums.

His name is Zteer and I played his maps when they were first in HL2 DM.

they spawn near the watermellon "stay" and they attach to your hook and you pull them up and they will let go after a certain while but if its a certain monster (hunter, garg and antlion guard)they throw them back in (scared :P) and they get stuck under water

also on mapping help sum1 tryed to make a hopwire map but on this map they can spawn :O

The hopwires in this map are made by a game_player_eqiup, not placed on the ground. I don't really mind if people include hopwires in their maps that way, I just didn't want them on the ground. Still, it's not a good idea to put them in maps, as they create quite a bit of lag.

Is the npc_hunter a npc or did he just add it in his map.
