I did this a little while back, and since it's not going to be used in any official capacity, I thought I'd release it for general use as a single download. It's a retexture of the sniper, in that I made them from scratch and they don't use teeny tiny little textures to cover a huge model. Instead, they're brought up to EP2 specs with phong and bumpmaps. That being said, the limiting factor here is the model itself, so it's not going look that different.

This replaces files so you need to extract it into the main directory for it to work.

I can't help but wonder the fate of the sniper rifle. The green is good, but maybe something black would be true to the original, can't help but feel green is a bit 'awp'ish. Well its fate is in good hands...

The red on green makes it feel like Christmas.

I thought so but I didn't want to make a guess and stir up a shit storm of speculation.

We're not allowed to use HL2 Beta content on Steam so everything that's from it will be replaced, and the sniper is part of it

can you make a list of models that need to be re-done in a separate thread? Maybe the community members can help. I'd give em a shot if it looks possible.
