Has this mod died ?

Hi there, i used to love this mod and im sad to come back to see that the forums are very empty and no news has been submitted for ages. Is this mod still going? is skidz still around to make it? do people still play it? bring it back to life !!

Ok so where is skidz these days? i cant help notice that the forums are so unpopulated, if the mods going to be a success it needs to increase it popularity, everybody loves news on the home page.

Skidz is most active in the beta testing and developer section atm, and yes, there should be new news on the home page, but i dont have access to it, i talk to skidz about this later.

Yeah theres a huge majority of players that never venture to the forums, I spent years browsing mod sites that way, Only ventured into forum if I had too.
Would be nice to see news, a weekly screen shot of official 1.3 stuff would be nice.
And prehaps in the build up to 1.3 a dedicated media page with well like I said well polished pictures of official stuff, and good pictures not net_graph 1 running in the bottom corner etc, etc.

I'd love to volunteer, but my future is very uncertain at the moment.

I would suggest an Developer Blog so we all can see some things with the eyes of Hyperjag and Skidz

(also the entire OC Team?)

well i have a blog (wich i don't really use) maybe i will allow some people to post in there and rename it to something else like OC Dev Blog (for every Beta Tester and Developer)

On another note, I don't support moddb anymore. I gave the rights to the site there to somebody else, not sure who. As for front page news, a screenshot of the week sounds interesting. I really wanted to get around to rewritting the site in PHP but haven't gotten around to it.

I've got to say that's something I really wish this site had more of - public updates. Too much of the exciting stuff is going on behind closed doors, and a screenshot of the day sounds like an excellent idea! Of course, we'd all like to see 1.3 released, but a screenshot-a-day would be a step in the right direction!

I also wouldn't mind a bit of a blog / developer's log thingy. That would at least show the outside world we're alive.

BTW, I used to use Moddb a whole bunch. In fact it's how I initially found this mod! However, I don't think I've checked moddb in a year and a half. Its website is far too annoying now. Anyone know of a better mod site?

Regardless, we can still send news updates to other half life 2 sites. HL2.net for example.

a screen shot a day is too much for the devs, i mean, to be honest i really couldnt be bothered at all with one a day, one a week is more realistic, but this thread has put my support back into the mod and im glad to see a small community still living here, cheers guys
